Average joe - taxi

Right then, let’s not mess about with stupid cliched puns about being ‘better than average’ to try and grab a cheesy click bait headline. Average Joe is a phenomenal talent who somehow spent a bit of time in Manchester and came back more Stokie, if that was even possible. Every music project Joe has embarked upon has been an instant hit and latest project Average Joe is certainly no different, and once again Joe has taken on whole new style of music, covered it in his own wit and wisdom and musical knowledge, and gifted us with something effortlessly wholesome, naturally on trend, and something Joe can be extremely proud of.

Yes, we get that we’ve had to wait much longer than we would have liked before being able to get our hands on official Average Joe material, but let’s face it, Taxi is more than worth the wait and if anything only feeds our excitement for more, as it delves into the murky waters of toxic masculinity and how heartbreak is often dealt with by British males in modern society.

Filled with the slick vocals we’ve come to expect from a man constantly hailed as Stoke-on-Trent’s most talented front man over the last decade, Average Joe tells us his story in such a way that we almost feel like we are indeed sat down the pub with him, offloading out troubles and our worries to each other as we get more pissed. The video, filmed in true Average Joe fashion, is a showcase of life in Stoke, drowning in Joe’s natural comedic style and ability to soak up the tiniest of details in his surroundings and project it within his work.

Now that Taxi is officially out, we can be sure there’s a whole heap of music on its way from Average Joe.
